The Foundation of the SMASH Weekend
Friday night kicks off the SMASH race weekend with the Craftsman Truck Series. Known for tight competition and aggressive drafting, the trucks produce some of the closest racing in the league.

With fixed setups, the focus stays on driver skill rather than setup engineering. Every driver competes on equal equipment, putting racecraft, strategy, and consistency at the center of the fight.

Expect tight packs, hard battles, and photo finishes as drivers fight to build momentum heading into Saturday’s events.

Race Night Format
Every Friday night the SMASH Craftsman Truck Series kicks off the racing weekend with a structured race format designed to keep competition tight and organized.

Practice — 8:00 PM ET
Drivers get time to prepare, test their race pace, and find the fastest line before qualifying begins.

Qualifying — 8:45 PM ET
Single-truck qualifying sets the starting grid for the night’s race.

Race — 9:00 PM ET
The green flag drops and the battle begins as drivers fight for position, stage control, and valuable championship points.

With fixed setups, the trucks stay evenly matched — meaning the race is decided by driver skill, racecraft, and consistency, not setup advantages.

The Road to the Championship
The SMASH Truck Series runs a 12-week season, visiting some of the most iconic oval tracks in motorsports.

Drivers compete each week for points as they chase a place in the Championship race at Darlington Raceway, one of the toughest tracks on the schedule.

Only the most consistent drivers will survive the grind of the season and earn a shot at becoming the SMASH Truck Series Champion.
